1 yr old female Bichon-Yorkie spayed overnight has small lump on tummy?

Question:I hope this is not mammary cancer...would it spring up from nothing overnight like that? It doesn't seem tender to her...yes, going to vets today but would like ideas? thank-you

Answers:
sometimes small lumps that come up that fast are simply little cysts.kind of the doggie equivalent of a zit. Good thing to have the vet check, especially close to the nipples, but usually they're not a big deal.

No it's not cancer! It's just swelling from the stitches!
Well it could be anything. Good thing your going to the vets. I wouldn't worry to much just yet. Fatty tumors are the most likely cause but I'm not a vet.
TAKE IT TO THE VET... TAKE IT TO THE VET
This happened to my dalmatian. She was pretty active right after the surgery and got a small lump protruding near her stitches. It's a strain.. your dog is ok. Do your best to keep her inactive as much as possible.. but it will go away on it's own.
Seriously, without LOOKING at the site and obtaining other information, it is really not something anyone here can litterally give adivce about.
If she was spayed before her first heat cycle and given her age it is very unlikely that it is mammary cancer.
