It depends on the clinic, but most give it under the skin by the rear right leg. Other shots are given in the skin on the left leg or between the shoulder blades. All vaccinations are subcutaneous (under the skin, not in a muscle or vein). The location of where the vet gave it will be recorded in the chart to ensure that if the dog has a reaction to the vaccine, they can be sure if it was the rabies vaccine or another one, or if it wasn't a vaccine reaction at all.

I dont know if its rabies or nmot but my dog usually every couple years gets this bigger then usual shot in his right front leg. It probably is rabies. I think it depends on the vet too.

some will give a battery of vaccinations in different spots on your pet, specificaly to detremine whether or not they have a reaction to the vaccination.

The Vet normally injects into the jugular, the vein at the front of the neck, for rabies.
