What is the law on owning a pit bull?

Question:Is it different for every state? Where can I find out what the law says about ownership on this breed in my state?

Answers:
Usually it is different in every state. Visit www.pitbullsontheweb.com. And most importantly, make sure you are a kind and responsable dog owner that can handle the high maintanence breed, as well as the constant critisism of uneducated people putting your beloved pet down just because of its breed.

Yes its different for every state and you can go ask your local animal control if they are legal. Or go to their website.
every state has a different law, so check ur local animal control centers.
I personally believe that there shouldnt be any restriction on any breeds. But, since society doesnt agree with me, it is best to check the state and town that you live in. Call your local city hall they should be able to help you.
Phone your local police station.

Personally I don't like pit bulls or what they represent but that's just my opinion.
