too weird
Cute! My dogs would LOVE that!
my dog loves it
I think it's just another way for people to buy into the unhealthy dog lifestyle. The ice cream contains fillers that provide no nutritional value to the dogs. They also contain milk. Dogs and cats for that matter do not possess enough lactase, an enzyme that breaks down lactose in diary products. Dairy can cause them to have diarrhea or stomach upset which in turn can lead to dehydration. Companies that make things like doggie ice cream target pet owners who have a need to nurture personality and instead of creating a product that will benifit the dog they create on that is unhealthy for the dog yet satisfies the nurturing need of the owner. I personally would rather give my dog small ice chips because he enjoys the cool feel and it helps hydrate him.
Never tasted it.
But seriuosly... overpriced. Dogs consider almost anything you give them a treat. Try freezing cups of plain yogurt. He'll probably love it just as much at only about twelve cents a serving if you buy the large container of yogurt. You could flavor it with just about anything healthy -- honey, blueberries, peanut butter, banana -- even canned fish or garlic. Don't waste your money on special treats. If you want to throw money away and make an animal feel better, donate to an animal rescue group.
This is my 2000th answer! WOOOHOO I chose this question because I love my dogs.
Truly, I think it's silly. It's cute, I've thought of getting it, just because my dogs would love it..for about 1/3 of a second as they inhale their food.
But it's a bad idea to switch food on a dog. It gives them diarrhea. There is nothing like a dog with the runs. YUCK. When you switch brands of food, you are supposed to add 10 percent new food, then up to 20, and so on. Giving them ice cream treats sounds like asking for messes.
GIve me the points in a celebration of how much time I waste on here!
i personal never got it for my dog, at krogers they have it and its name is frosty paws. I think the name is cut, comes in those small containers we use to get in elementay school. I have a 65lb sheltie and he just pushes the container every where. it stays frozen for a while. if my dog ever eats it ill get back to you.
Doggie Ice Cream? Is it made from real dogs or is it just dog flavored? Haha. Jk.
it tastes like frozen wallpaper paste. but at least the dogs enjoy it! and theyre getting spoiled:)
