Question:My other dog has no symptoms so I don't think it is viral. He doesn't have a temp, is playful and acts normal. I am wondering if it is stress related.
And for the smart a** people he is going to the vet monday. I just thought someone might have some insight.
Answers:
Our 5-month old Golden Retriever puppy had the same symptoms for quite awhile. We gave him Maalox and fed him only plain ground beef and rice until we could get him to a vet for antibiotics. He'd get better for a few days, then we'd wean him back onto his (really high-quality) normal food and it would start up again. We finally realized it was probably a food allergy and switched him from a chicken-based food to a lamb & rice formula. It has made all the difference in the world. He loves the food and he's been symptom free for weeks now. I really recommend a lamb-based diet because it's purportedly very gentle for dogs with sensitive stomachs or food allergies. Good luck!
give your dog some Pepto Bismol (use the child's dose as a guideline)
Take pictures, in a couple of years you'll both have a good laugh about it.

There are several things that could have caused your dog to have vomiting and diarrhea. Food Allergy. Dogs may all of a sudden develop an allergy to some protein in the particular food being fed. There may be no explainable reason for this occurrence. Diagnosis is based on a food allergy trial utilizing sources of nutrients that have not been fed to the particular pet. A confirmed diagnosis can take several months.
Foreign Bodies. In some pets a foreign body, such as a small ball or marble may cause chronic vomiting and/or diarrhea if it does not cause a complete obstruction. Diagnosis is often confirmed by radiographs (X-rays).
Internal Parasites must be ruled out by internal parasite testing.
Chronic Pancreatitis may decrease the ability to digest foods properly resulting in diarrhea.
Chronic Liver or Kidney Disease may cause sporadic vomiting. Blood chemistry analysis is useful in confirming these diagnoses.
Oh honey...
Is there any blood in his poop and does it smell REALLY foul?
Did you puppy get its parvo shot?
...Sounds like parvo, sweetheart.
I'm really sorry.

In addition to the pepto mismol, cook plane white rice and feed him that 2 times a day avoid regular dog food at least until tomorrow morning. This helps my dog every time.
