Pulling on leash?

Question:help

Answers:
pinch collar

Try using a harness.
Stop pulling on it.

Problem solved.
Easy. You need the right accessories. Go to a pet store and get a harness instead of a collar. Dogs don't pull or jump with a harness. And if you really want to train your dog to walk at your pace, get a pinch collar. They look horrible - like a torture device - but all they do is create some discomfort if the dog starts pulling you. It took two walks and my very hyper dog now walks calmly.
I have a Rottweiller and have the same problem, the only thing that worked magnificently for me is the Halti ...it goes around the muzzel and connects behind the dogs ears. Whenever they try to pull, their head gets pulled to one side, so they go in circles. the more they pull, the more they get turned. So they stop pulling. I swear I was so happy with it I wrote them a letter telling them that. Harnesses are no good because they actually give the dog more control and pulling power. Says Cesar Milan.lol
Why is it that every time a dog pulls, the cerebral giants come out and tell people to get a harness that just makes it easier for a dg to pull whithout any corrections? Get a prong collar, make sure it fits properly, that is high and tight and put it on the dog. The first time he pulls, he will be corrected and if you have a good timing with it, it will also be his last time pulling

ADD: Doggal 55. OMFG, Where did you come from? Get the dog dizzy so that he will listen to you? Lord, please help us all and also, if you could, strike all the morons and idiots and so-called "dog experts".
There's a thing called the gentle leader .. it's great I use it on my 75 lb lab and my14 lb doxie .. I'm able to walk my Lab now .. I've had two knee replacement's and now I can walk him using the gentle leader
NO NO NO! Do not go and get a harness! THat will actually teach them to pull more!! Turst me I know.

The best thing to get is called a gentle lead. It goes on the face. You can get them at a pet store or even some vets carry them.

They are the most recomended way of vets and trainers to stop pulling!!

Good luck!!
When he starts to pull, just stop walking until he sits down. Soon he will learn that you are in charge, not him
Buy a prong collar at your local pet shop it worked with my German Shepherd. You think they will hurt the dog but they don't. (I asked my vet) I don't jerk on it when he is wearing it though. That's how you train a dog to walk right by your leg instead of jerking you all over.
the gentle leader and halti leads are work well with most dogs. I can't use them with my beagle. Beagles have their noses to ground at almost all times, theses leads are harder to use when the dogs always has it's nose down. THere are other ways without resorting to prong collars as well. When walking a dog, do not respond to the pulling. If you have to stop dead and wait for the dog to return to you that can work, or keep turning around. Allow the dog so much lead then abruptly stop and go the other way. The first time I tired this my 20 minute walk didn't get beyond my driveway, I looked silly, but my dog learned that if she doesn't pay attention to me she doesn't know which way we are going. She will still pull on occasion (when her beagle nose picks up a rabbit) she's supposed to pull then, but on a normal walk over ground that she's been before she is usually by my side. Whatever you do get rid of the retractable leash. That rewards the dog for pulling by giving them more space to run from you. After the pulling is under control if you want one then go ahead but beware of the pull reward factor.
You must be bored. And trolling.

Please don't waste time answering this guy - until you look at his questions.
No, all of these people are wrong, I am a dog expert. What you need to do is use the "lets go" command. This is how is works, you switch directions with your dog over and over by saying "lets go" to it. Soon, the dog will get very dizzy because you keep switching directions and then he/she will listen to you. If this does not work, you should take the dog to a obediance class. The best obediance training place is Capitol Dog Training Club.
