Question:My neighbor's dog barks and tries to attack me when I'm in my own yard. I told them about it and now they are mad at me.

I hate it when pet owners are so irresponsible, this animal needs obedience training. If he doesn't stop he may attack you and then he will probably have to be put to sleep. If they won't listen and it keeps going on you may have to call the police? Maybe then they will realize that you were serious.

well to tell you the truth no matter what if you go up to someone elses house no matter how you say it when you tell them how to controll their dog their not going to like it because they know its true but they dont like people comeing up to them and pointing it out allthough you are in the right in this situation. if i were you i would just put up something like a picket fence in my yard if they wont listen or call the poilice they can tell them how to control their dog and dont get me wrong i love animals dont get it killed or anything just make your point
well i would keep working in your yard and if the dog attack you i would beat it with a stick and when your neighbors comes round asking why you did it say it was me or the dog and i did warn you then beat them with the stick
This is how I handled it. I bought and mailed a "Thinking of you" greeting card, and stated that It would be lovely to be able to spend time gardening in my yard without being accosted and harassed by their pet. Being a good neighbor is a two way street, and if they could not control it's behavior, there would be a call to the humane society and the police department. Although they no longer speak to me, the dog now stays in their house during my yard time. That's OK with me. Good luck my friend.
