Question:how do you calm them down around another shiba or animal

i have a a 6yr old and from my experience its really hard to calm them down when they want something. as a common example:
i have taken her out on walks and a mouse comes along and the shiba will do anything to get it, and the best solution i have found is just remove her as quickly as you as you can, she will still look back and try to lead you where the mouse was, but nothing ever seems to 'work' completely. its the same thing with toys, people, and other dogs (not another shiba, i think she's the only one in my city) its not an aggressive behavior she just wants to play/hunt with whatever it is that has her attention and that she can't have.
she's especially bad when it rains and i let her outside. worms come to the surface and she will spend hours 'hunting' the worms and completely ignores me, and other loud stimuli untill she comes back in the house, then she's her normal self.
i have had dogs all my life and have tried many different attempts of correcting this personality trait but nothing has worked. i knew that the breed can be a little defiant from time to time, and she hasn't disappointed me on that front. i also have a 6yr old husky and the two get along great, the husky is always the first to come when called, and very obedient, the shiba just marches to their own drum as it were.

Well first, you have to walk your dog on a choke chain. I know it might sound cruel, but it really works. When you walk your dog, make sure you project calm assertive energy. Dont be tense or excited. When you come across a dog or a person, tug on the leash to snap out her behavior. My doberman was a very agressive dog, he wasnt excited when he saw people or other dogs, he was aggressive. It really worked for him. Also, make sure your dog is right by your side, not wandering around ahead of you. Hope this helps!
