No age. I knew a dog that had puppies until she was 15 (she died)
Until they die really. But why wouldn't you spay your dog. It's not healthy for the dogs at all to be breeding when there older. Please spay.
I have had them as old as 8-9 still season. They do eventually reach menopause though. One lady I had sold a cocker to years and years ago called and wanted to bring her back. She was over ten then. And low and behold she was "huge" pregnant. She had ten puppies about three weeks after they brought her here. I had never seen an older dog have puppies like that, but she did. She was fine and lived another 4 years before she passed.
Right after you get them fixed
They dont stop. But it is a good idea to spay your dog before she turns 7 because after this age it is highly likely that she could have problems with her reproductive system that require serious treatments and sometimes surgery. If things are very serious the dog could die.
At any age - spaying can be done fairly young, especially for smaller dogs. I hear that for larger dogs, that it's best to wait a bit - in any case, spaying your dog will also prevent her from contracting uterine cancer.
