Question:only had him for two days and his poo is runny, any help
Answers:
can be caused by stress, take to vet to make sure
maybe it's diarrea. Take it to the vet.
He should see a vet, it could be stress, parvo, gardia, coccocida or even worms. Puppies immune systems are still developing and are prone to all kinds of disease.. they can go down quiickly if not treated.
Have you changed his diet or gave him cows milk? you should never give cows milk to a puppy only fresh water as this always causes the runs. If you have changed his food then ring up the breeder and find out what he was having. They should have given you some food with him so if they did then get him straight back on it. If it hasnt cleared up in 24 hours you should see your vets and most importantly if he hasnt been jabbed yet. Good luck
Lots of water(sounds contradictory) but he is dehydrating- peeing out of both ends. Change what you feed him and the amount. Be quite restrictive because dogs will overeat if given the chance. Give them exercise outside...so the body can and will expel the remanants of the runs out of his system quicker.
Had the same problem. I took mine to the vet,but in the meantime,I fed him only chicken and rice. He had colitis. The vet gave him a paste in a syringe and some specialised dog food. Soon he was 'normal'
are you feeding him on the same food the breeder did? If you are its because he is 'stressed' about leaving home and coming to a new home. Dont panic this can be normal sometimes when you get a new pup especially if you had to travel a long time coming home. Check there are no worns in his poo as this can be cause the same problem, leave it a while before you have his jabs, but at 16 weeks he should of already had them.
Good luck, and enjoy your new puppy.
Could be any number of things. What are you feeding him? Has he been wormed? Parasites? Point is, your dog cannot be examined online. You must take him to a vet and have him examined. The dog could also be dehydrated. The very first thing anyone should do when getting a new dog, young or old, is to take it to the vet for a checkup.
TAKE HIM TO A VET!
Well are you feeding him the same food he was eating before you got him? Did you suddenly switch him from what he was eating? Has he had runny poo since you got him? Are you feeding him a quality dog food?? Did you call the place you got him from and ask if they have anything ' going thru ' ?? Have you taken him.. to the VET about his runny poo ?
There are TONS of reasons why he might have runny poop.. have you tried investigating any of them??
quit giving him soup! :)
get it too a vet
It is possibly the stress of moving homes away from mummy! Also, if you are not feeding him what he was fed with mummy, that can cause it too. Take him to the vet for an overall check up & ask about this as well as worming & vaccinations.
lol very funny it could be what you are feeding him like canned food like gravy or jelly try feeding meat n veg biscuits with warm water {=¬ ).
firstly he needs a check up at the vets
then you need ot feed him either exactly the same as his breeder or a bland chicken and rice diet
he is probably stressed and may have worms
make sure you clean up well after him
is he house trained?
To the vet with you. And speak to breeder or rescue centre too. Don't waste time, little ones can't deal with runny poo well.
TWO MUCH CURRIE
did you change his food? a change of food will cause it. If he's still the same tomorrow take him to the vets
Take puppy to the vet and get him checked out. He may need worming.
