My dog is foaming and a hard time eating and drinking why?

Question:2 days ago my dog started foaming. he has a hard time trying to chew food, eating 1 piece at a time bringing it to the back of his mouth to chew. he has difficulty drinking. his tongue is a brighter red than normal what is wrong with him

Answers:
It might not be rabies, especially if the dog wasn't bit by anything/doesn't go out a lot.

He has a mouth virius/disease or a throat disease. He needs to go to a vet and get medicated (especially since if he's not eating enough or the right kind of food, he might not be able to fight off whatever has made him sick.)

Go to the vet!
usually foaming is a sign of rabies, but deffinatly call the vet, you never know what is wrong.
He could have been poisoned somehow. Or if could be rabies. That is definitely something to see the vet about.
Was the dog injured at any time? Did it fall?
Your dog needs to be seen by your vets as soon as you can get the poor thing there.
Why are you asking complete strangers on the internet??? What makes you think anyone can diagnose your dog????? GET IT TO A VET YESTERDAY YOU STUPID PERSON!!!!!!!!
go to the vet!!!!!!
SOmeone asked on here about a similar problem - the dog had tetnus (lockjaw) which their vet was able to treat. I'll echo the rest - take her to the vet.
