PLEASE help! Why does my 1 and 1/2 year old feist dog urinate on my furniture?

Question:He stays outside in a huge fenced in yard all day untill i get home in the evening after work. Then he comes in with me until i go to bed at night. He usually goes to the door and whines when he needs to go do his business outside , so im sure he knows and is use to peeing outside . So why does he frequently decide to pee on my sofa or in the carpeted floor in the bathroom?

Answers:
he knows what he's doing is wrong. and he knows you dont like it, so when you leave, he gets mad because you left (to them, you leaving, is punishment when they didnt do anythign wrong) and pees in your furniture when he gets the chance to get even with you. i would recomend (if you dont already do it) when you get home, play with him for a little while outside and pet him for a while. before you go to work, dont pet him, just go, and DONT LOOK BACK, and specially dont look at him and go "aawww, im sorry baby i have to go" ACT SERIOUS, and DONT PET HIM. he doesnt understand what the hell you mean, they think this way "if she just petted me and showed she loves me, why is she leaving me here alone?, so when you have to go, just leave him in the back and dont even say bye, so he thinks you're still home, and that's the place where he has to be during the day and so he understands that you're the leader and not him. Also make sure you leave him enough water and food, and if possible, dont leave him tied up to something, and when you put him in the back, leave him a few toys to play with.

Other Answers:
as a male dog he is marking his territory with his scent.

IF IT'S A MALE , HE MIGHT BE MARKING HIS TERRITORY.
