Should i continue to use flea and tick drops like frontline plus during the winter?

Question:if not...when should i stop? october? november? december?

Answers:
stop when fleas are no longer a problem.

i think you should just do it the whole year
You really don't have too.

Stop after the first hard freeze.

Start back when it starts to warm back up and stays warm 70 +

It has worked well for me.
Depends on where you live. If you live in a climate that it doesn't get cold enough to freeze outside, you should use year around. If it does get cold enough to freeze, you can stop after the first freeze and resume in the spring.
personally i treat for fleas when my dogs get fleas, they are 3 years old and never had em. but i live in country,no cats,no other dogs, etc.id say treat only during flea season.
I dont do it year round. I only use it as soon as the weather warms up, and up until it begins to frost.
Um...

Use them year round.
If the temperature stays over 50 degrees then yes treat them all year round. If you have temperatures that go below freezing and stay there most of the winter, then after the first hard freeze you can stop until the ground thaws. When the temps go back up over like 45-50 then I would start it up again. It only takes one flea to get in your house to cause problems. No sense in taking chances.

You might wanna read these links before you use any of them again. If you do keep using them, start a savings account for the kidney or liver troubles your pet will have down the road to pay the vet bills, most people just chose euthanization, it's cheaper for them I guess.

Good book at this site, http://www.drpitcairn.com , the healthier the immune system the better to fight off fleas, book also has natural remedies for fleas.
okay i have a question for you have you seen the kanine advantix commercial frontline plus only clears away some of the fleas and ticks kanine advantix clears away all of the fleas and ticks yes u can apply it in the winter only if when you put it on your dog you should keep your dog inside for at least 2 hours but let your dog outside before you put it on leave him out for at least 45 min.
IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE IN THE WINTER.IF IN A WARM PLACE THEN YES.I HAVE 5 DOGS .JAN.,AND FEB.ARE THE COLDEST MONTH'S WHERE I LIVE AND I DON'T USE THE FLEA &TICK.
