Question:Both my Golden boys know my boyfriend. We were good friends for 6 months before a couple months ago when we became more. They have never shown any aggresiveness towards anyone or possessiveness of me but when my boyfriend and I get cuddly on the couch or intimate in the bedroom they bark and try to come between us. I'm sure the bedroom noises do not help as they probably think he's hurting me but once again, they are not mean towards him in any way.
Their behaviour is not out of hand yet. I can usually calm them down after a few minutes but what can I do to prevent it from escalating if it will at all?

Those dogs own you, don't you know that? And they are telling him about it. At least they are goldens so they won't bite. If they were aggressive dogs you might have a problem. Cesar Milan does a lot of shows on this issue. It's really interesting because what people think of as protectiveness is actually ownership in a dog's mind. They own their puppies, their toys, their people. That is why they try to protect them, They are protecting their own possessions.
sounds like they wanna play too maybe putting them in another room before hand would settle your dilema
