Question:My pit is almost one year old and has just come into heat for her first time. She is bleeding everywhere and when I try to diaper her she just rips it off or my male (neutered) will come over and rip it off for her. I don't want to leave her outside because she feels like she is in trouble when I leave her outside too long. I just want to know what I can to about her bleeding. I know there are doggy diapers but I dont have the money for them right now and I dont want to use all of my daughters diapers. I am NOT breeding her so I really dont need to hear anything about that and if you are a person who hates pit bulls I dont want to hear from you either. I just genually need some help here.

you could try some boy's underwear, turn it around backwards and put her tail thru the hole.. use a maxi pad to absorb the blood.
DO NOT leave her outside unattended! Not even for a minute! Any intact male will do what he can to get to her, even if it means climbing a fence or digging under! Dogs are very determined when there is a female in heat!
If she wont keep anything on, there isnt much you can do but keep her away from intact males and just wait it out. Since you have no plans on breeding her, you may want to schedule her to be spayed when the heat is over. You wont have to deal with it again, plus it prevents certain types of cancers and severe uterine infections.
Not really much you can do about it, you just have to deal with 21 days of this. Since you said you don't have the money to buy the dog diaper things, I suppose if you get real desperate you could try some old underwear and cut a hole for the tail to stick out.
well if your not planning on breeding her get her spayed and it will stop all the bleeding and you wont have to worry about it again
If you are not going to breed her, go ahead and get her spayed. My vet says it can be done at 6 months old, before the first heat. You can try elasticized panties and a kotex pad for now--may be harder for her to get off than a diaper. Good luck!
