Dog and Grand Canyon?

Question:My Grandma and I are wanting to take a hike in the Grand Canyon. My dog is very well behaved, and I would love to bring him with us. Can I take him with me?

Answers:
I took two dogs to the Grand Canyon. As long as you stay on the trails and the dogs are on leashes, they're allowed. Do keep a close leash on your dog--one of mine tried to follow a squirrel over a wall...fortunately we had a good hold on her or it would have been the last leap of her life! People kept asking to take pictures of my dogs, and I think we were in as many tourist photos as the canyon itself! Remember it's hot, so take water, and poopy-scoop bags. Have fun!

Hope this helps.

Some parts of the park don't allow dogs. Just be considerate, clean up. Like the other answerer said, bring water for the dog.
