Puppy potty problems?

Question:i just got a 6 week old britany spaniel yesterday. yesterday and all last night he was very good about going outside to go potty... and i KNOW not to expect a 6 week old to be house broke already, but today he has been peeing literally every 2 or 3 minutes. is this normal? if not any suggestions?

aaaand what is the best method for potty training?

I noticed that you said "he". New dog, means new home for him. I am willing to bet he is marking his territory.
If you are not planning on using him for show or studding I would have him fixed ASAP. He will continue the marking of territory as a male act for quite some time.
Another thing is he is really quite young. Most pups are not separated from their mothers until 8 weeks at least and it could be a form of misbehavior.
Make sure you have papers OR my favorite puppy blue pads So that the news print doesn't stain the carpet. (These are kind of like disposable diapers you lay on the floor. They are a large blue square with plastic bottom and diaper like absorbent mesh on top.)
Anyways make sure there is a spot by the door he will be going when he is ready to go outside and do his business. Make sure you even dab a little pee on a spot on the paper or pad so they get that is where they go. Also place them on the paper (IE when you put a child on the potty after they have had an accident) even if they have already gone elsewhere.
Use your tone of voice so they no this isn't acceptable and tell him he is bad. When he does go on the paper tell him he is a good boy and let him have pets and maybe even a treat.
If this is a problem at night maybe you need to crate him for a while and let him out in the morning for a pee on the paper.

I've heard puppies urinate often, but ask a vet just in case.
depends how much u feed him ur supposed to feed a dog in the morning then take hime to reastroom evening restroom then thats it dont let hime eat anymore that day it will keep him full he wont get to skiiny or fat and they wont jhav accidents

it could be that the dog is nervous now that it realizes that it is staying in this new spot without its mom... If it had been doing good before, theres probably no worries, it's just anxiety and stuff. It could have some sort of bladder infection though, but most likely its the first one. It should go away on its own as the dog gets more comfortable in its new home.

Let the dog out after it eats, after it wakes up, and after its been playing for a while. Make sure that you praise it when it goes outside, then either bring it in right away, or play for a while outside. If you catch it, make sure you say a stern no. Good luck!
I don't know if its good or normal for him to be peeing all the time. Atleast call you your vet. As for training, patience, persistence and praise. You can't expect your dog to be accident free. When you take him outside take him to a certain spot, repeat a phrase like go potty until he goes. Give him atleast 15 minutes to go, if he doesn't take him back inside to his crate. At this age you should take him out every 2-3 hours. If he does go, give him 15 minutes of freedom in the house and then put him back in his crate. Also, remember if he goes to give lots and lots of praise. Don't give him a treat though. A praise and a pat are plenty. Good luck! Brittanys are great! I have one at home and just got a puppy who is 9 weeks now about 2 weeks ago!
