Question:The girl 4 houses down tried taking my dog and her mom says that she can't believe her daughter would try to take my dog..not only did she do that she went up my drive unlocked my fence after taggonizing my dogs tied her feet together and she put a rope around her neck then started to drag her down my driveway and she is only a 10 pound 3 year old Lhasa Apso..then the lady across the street got her son to untie the dog, tell them to go home, and put her in the backyard.and I could hear of my big Shar-pei dogs barking..and the girl is just like the mother dress kind of slu*y.I confronted the mom and she doesn't believe it even though the little girl lies all the time....can I call the cops or something??Please tell me what I should do.My mom said if she came anywhere near my house I could tell her to get the fu** away...but that just doesn't cut it for me...what should I do? I almost lost the dog that picked me as its owner... :'-(

I would get a restraining order that way she won't legally be allowed near the house. Your poor doggy!
call the police, and explain the situation to them. Try calling the non-emergency line found in the phone book or by dailing 411 to get the number.

And Never leave your dogs outside unsupervised/when you are not home - sounds like this girl could kill them

Since the lady that lives across the street from you saw her, if she is willing to be your witness, you can call the cops and tell them what happened. You could charge her for attempting to steal your dog and tresspassing and possibly even animal abuse for dragging your dog.
well u could call the cops because that is theft if they steal ur dog so yes u can call the cops and feel free to u have witnesses. u have a lot of stuff against them so i suggest calling the cops
WOW, I can't believe your mom would tell you that it would be okay to talk that way to someone.. My mom washed my mouth out with soap when someone told me to say that word when I was little..
Put a lock on your gate so that little kids up the street can't steal your dog.. It was obviously too easy or the kid wouldn't have gotten as far as she did. Feel sorry for the little girl, obviously if her mom is dressing sl*tty then the kid hasn't much of a life or a chance in life. Maybe she is looking for someone to befriend her and teach her the right way to do things in life.. Maybe she is just trying to get you to talk to her, looking for attention.. Take your dog for a walk and let the poor little girl pet the dog.. Maybe that's all it will take to get her to stop trying to steal.. Maybe no one is teaching her that stealing is wrong.. Maybe your mission in life is to take this little girl under your wing and teach her how to be a good person.. No stealing, no swearing and no dressing sl*tty!
when My German shepherd was little, I used to lock the fence to keep people from trying to snatch him. I used a masterlock.
I had something similar happen to me with my dog. You need to inform the police of the incident, but I will warn you, all they will say is "We have to see her on your property in order to something." You may want to request a trespassing warning be issued to her, so that way next time she is on your property the police will arrest her. I know that it is very upsetting and I hate to say it, but you might want to look into a different type lock on your gate. It is really sad when you have to "over protect" your property because people can't act right.
Uhm when you know it's happening you need to go out there and stop the neighbor from coming into your yard. And you need to call the police explaining your situation and tell them that your neighbor is trespassing. If need be, put a camera outside to catch her in the act, then you'll have your proof.
Put a lock on your gate.
