Frontline! I bought my puppies on the corner from some random guy and they were covered in fleas. A friend of mine gave me Frontline and I put them on both of them. The next morning the fleas were all gone. To be extra careful, I took the puppies out for the day and sprayed the entire house with this flea repellent stuff. I dont remember the name of the brand but I got it from the pet store and it was one of the cheaper ones. I never had a problem again with fleas.

uhhh move? i dont know how about you get your dog dipped, ask your vet!
www.biospot.com it WORKS and its a fracrtion of the cost of all the other crap out there.
Frontline PLUS!! it's a new product from Frontline!!
If Advantix doesn't help, you have a serious issue. Can you please get professional help?
are u sure your dog as fleas and not a skin condithion but try frontline plus and do both dogs at same time good luck !!
1) Use K9 Advantix for the fleas on the dog. (continue every month, It will work)

2) Use a Dairy Insect bomb in your house to remove the fleas in the carpet. You'll probably have to re-bomb after a coupe of weeks to be sure the unhatched eggs are killed when the fleas hatch.
First thing, there is no such thing as a flea dip. Go to work local vet and get a pill called a capstar. It will kill all the fleas on the body within 30 min and works for up to 24 hours. Then apply Revolution or another topical preventitive. The capstar just helps out the topical and gives your dogs a little bit of relief. GOOD LUCK!
Give your dogs Frontline PLUS. Take about a couple of raid bombs to your house, you'll need to be out of the house for a week. As for your yard, put down some seven dust on the entire yard . I'd use a grass seed spreader for this.
Are you sure it's fleas? My dog is older and she's been doing that,i took her to the vet, here's it's allergies.I guess older dogs has a tendency to develope them.I use frontline on her, they also have frontline plus.Good luck
Got ot that different vet, they should have capstar and some flea meds. Give your dogs a 24 hour capstar every day, for 3 days, it will kill all the fleas off of the body for 24 hours, only that ones that are living not the pupa. Vacumm Vacumm VACUMM!! everyday vacumm all the floors, event he kitchen, but mainly the carpeted floors. Put your pets in a kennel and leave them in there for 24 hours, and give them food and water and only let them go out of the cage to go potty or poo poo. That will contain the fleas and hopefully they wont spread to much, fleas are more attracted to hot and overweight dogs, so keep them nice a cool, but not to cool, or else they will get to cold and get sick lol but just make sure they arent panting and they dont feel overly hot. Usually it only takes a week to get rid of the fleas if it is a large infestation, DO NOT let your dogs out on a freshly madicated lawn, with the flea killer, if you have to take them out somewhere else if your lawn is medicated. Also, try walking in every room every day alot during the day, the flea eggs like the warmth from people and vaccumms and then they will hatch, which is a good thing to make all fleas hatch and becaome adult then that means it is easier to get rid of quicker.
First let me tell you that I own a pest control company and what I will recommend is the complete treatment that should help you completely get rid of the fleas.

First, treat the pet with Capstar. This is a pill that you get from the vet that will kill all of the fleas that get on the animal for the first 24 hours. Second, use either Frontline or Advantage, these can also be purchased from the vet. Frontline can be used on pets 12 weeks old or older. Advantage can be used on animals as young as 6 weeks. If the pet is old enough for either product, switch back and forth between the two. One month use one, the next use the other. The reason I recommend this is that there are two main types of fleas that infest pets. One product works better on the first type and the other product works better on the second type. By using both, you make sure you have covered all your bases.

Once the pet has been treated, you must treat your home and yard. The best products to do this would include not only a killing agent, but also a sterilization agent. Inside, I would use Ultracide, if you can get it. (Many on line sites sell it.) Follow the instructions on the label! Wash all animal’s bedding and vacuum frequently. Throw out the vacuum bag or dump the catch container after every vacuuming. You can never vacuum too much! (You may also want to put a cheap flea collar in the vacuum catch container or bag when vacuuming.) DO NOT STEAM CLEAN YOUR RUGS! This can hatch flea eggs and make your problem worse.

Outside I would use Demon WP mixed with Gentrol or Nylar, carefully following label instructions. Treat the entire yard, paying special attention to under bushes and low hanging branches. Most of these products can be bought at any Do-It-Yourself Pest Control company either on line or in a store.

Treating your house and yard is just as important as treating the pet!

It is also very important to stay away from the grocery store or box store products like Zodiac or Hartz. Many of these products can cause severe allergic reactions in animals.
Try this remedy first, it's not toxic to dogs but may be to cats for some unknown reason, It's simple to make:

Lemon Skin Tonic
bring 1 pint of water to a boil and remove from heat
add 1 thinly sliced lemon WITH peel
allow to steep overnight or all day
strain liquid

The liquid can be put into a spray bottle, squeeze bottle or just a container. Apply liberally to the coat of the dog and rub in so that the skin is wet.

Lemons are very good for the skin and contain limonene which is an effective insect repellent. The limonene actually dissolves fleas' waxy coating causing dehydration and death of the flea. Use as often as necessary.

Before you use Frontline or any other top spot, read these links first and make an informed decision, their VERY toxic!good luck.

Well, I absolutely know what you're going through because I went through this with my cat about 14 years ago. They infested every inch of my apartment because of a neighbor's cat that was infested with fleas and she used to let her cat roam the hallways of our building and infested the whole place! It was horrible. First of all, you should bathe and powder your pets outside of the home and then immediately remove your pets for about a week or two, if you can afford to or if you are able to. This will keep them out of the area. See if you can get them boarded for a week or so or ask a friend to take them until you can get this problem under control. Next, purchase the strongest dust you can, make sure you get as much as you need to cover all areas and sprinkle it everywhere! You will need to wear a mask, rubber gloves and protective clothing so get these ready before you start. Pull your socks up over your pants legs to prevent any fleas from trying to get to you. Put the powder into every corner, every crack you can find. You will have to move furniture around as you do this and you will need to treat the furniture as well. You will most likely need to wash every bit of clothing and bedding you own as fleas are notorious for getting into every place they can find. I ended up throwing out a lot of my daughter's stuffed animals because they were infested with them (yes it was a VERY bad infestation!). In your kitchen, place some aluminum pans filled with dish soap and hot water in the middle of the floor with a small lamp over the water. The fleas are attracted to the light and will jump towards it because of the heat and will land in the soapy water. They can't get out because the soapy water weighs them down. Trust me this works. You should see a lot of them as they try to escape the powder. Leave the powder on the surfaces for at least 6 hours and leave your place until that time is up. Make sure you shake off your clothes once you are outside to get rid of any fleas that may have hitched a ride.

When you come back, don't remove your shoes. Get a vacuum ready and start sucking up all of that powder you sprinkled down. Make sure you're wearing your protective gear. Get a shop vac and clean the furniture. You WILL need to steam clean the carpets and the furniture so you may want to rent this with the appropriate attachments. Use HOT water! Get a cleaner specially formulated for pest control, if you can find it, otherwise a good strong cleaner should do the job or you can use a flea shampoo instead of the cleaner, but make sure it is a low sudsing formula. Believe me, I know this sounds like a lot of work, but it is worth it, trust me! Check the pan in the kitchen. If you have a lot of fleas, it should contain quite a few of them. Just dump it in the toilet and wash the pan in hot soapy water. You may need to repeat this method a couple of times in the week. You will see fewer and fewer of the fleas in the pan. Leave it overnight in the kitchen and you can even put a pan or two in the rest of the house. It does take a while to get rid of fleas. It took me about a week to get them all. The eggs may not be affected by the powder and may hatch in that time if you did not vacuum them all up. They tend to stick to the carpet fibers so don't feel you failed. This is why you need to steam clean the carpet and the furniture, both to get rid of the remaining fleas and eggs, and to remove any traces of the toxic dust so that it doesn't make you or your pets, or anyone who lives there or visits, sick.

Once you've done all this, you will have to vacuum often after this to ensure they stay away and maybe use a flea powder on the carpets once a week when you vacuum. Make sure you dispose of the bag immediately to keep eggs from re-infesting. Keep flea collars and flea powder on your pets. Fleas can cause contact dermatitis which will result in dry, flaky, itchy and red skin which is irritating to your pets. My cat had this. It took a while to treat. Also, before you bring your pets home, make sure they have a good flea bath and are completely flea free before coming back. Fleas live in the grass and in sandy areas.

I know this sounds like a lot, but trust me, do this and it should get rid of them once and for all. You should find the source of the flea infestation and attack it at its source. Make sure you keep up on the vacuuming. And always use hot soapy water to mop hard surfaces. My apartment was so badly infested, there were fleas in my daughter's head when she was about 3 years old because she was playing on the floor in her room and they were just crawling everywhere. They were even in our beds! So believe me, I do know! I have not had a flea problem since then, thank goodness! It may seem daunting at first, but it's a lot less expensive than all the flea treatments you're going to need to keep up with. Or you can always get a professional pest control company to come in and do it for you, but this is very expensive also.

As for the yard, try planting marigolds or chrysanthemums. Orange oil is also very helpful as they don't like the strong scent. Rub into your pets' skin and brush it into their fur. You can find this at health food stores. Just make sure to put your pets outside for a couple of hours after applying the oil as the fleas will jump off and re-infest your home if they are inside. Invest in a good flea comb as well. Keep brushing your pets as this helps prevent matted fur where fleas can hide. A good bath about once or twice a month during flea season will help relieve the itchiness and dryness. Try using tea tree oil based bath formulas as it relieves itchiness. Feed your pets garlic and brewer's yeast. This makes their skin less appetizing to fleas. You can find this in health food stores as well.

I wish you lots of luck in your quest to become flea-free! At least try this method, even if you don't think it will work. It absolutely worked for me.
Don't worry, as frustrating as it can seem, you can get rid of them, it just takes patience! All the best!
My wife and I had that problem for a month! Front line Plus works. Apply it. Then vacuum your house, a lot! Lots of flea eggs in the carbet, nooks and crevices. Vacuum really good too! Also comb your dog and get as much out of their fur as possible. Don't bother with the yard. Concentrate on indoors. The frontline workd very well. I swear by it! Good luck...
I think you are doing the right things you just need to do them all at once...try frontline and taking them into a groomer (petco is chepest) for a flea bath monthly...that should work...

Hope that helps!
