Does anybody know where to look about breed specific laws for certain states?

Question:I'm not really sure where to start looking. I want to know if there are any laws for pit bulls in AZ, because I hope to get a puppy when I move there (the apartment I live in now doesn't allow any pets over 25lbs as an adult ). So even a hint for where to look would be most appreciated!

Thanks for taking the time to read my question! :)

I can't find any breed specific laws in Arizona.

One site I found claimed that shelters in AZ are pit bull friendly.

First of all I want to let you know pits get a lot bigger than 25lbs. than can get up to 70 lbs but average is around 55. I have 2 pits of my own and they are a wonderful breed if raised the right way.. when you look for a pup look and watch him play with his bros and sis' because this will determine his temperment which you want to be good from the start (if you use a breeder) if you plan to rescue make sure the dog is not scared because its hard to gain a dogs trust when they are scared it can be done but it takes a lot of attention and dedicated time more than usual. As far as legal laws google Arizona Pit Bull Laws you should find an answer right away.. pit bull laws are a big thing and a lot of states dont want them. good luck hope i helped

i couldnt find anything on pitbull laws in arizona either. I know condos, trailer parks, etc, can refuse pitbulls because they are private property (I live in a strata community and almost had problems) so find a home first.
Also, im curious as to why you choose pitbull. if it is for protection or as a guard dog, dont bother. they are generally way to social for that. they only have that reputation because they love their families and they are powerful.
If you just like them for who they are, great, and good luck. there are lots of resources on the web to help you fight breed profiling!
I also could not find any Arizona Breed Specific Laws. But you will also have to keep in mind that each city can have ordinances on them too.
I have also have a pit bull and most of the towns around me do not allow u to own one.
