none, just make sure nobody sprayed with insecticide that might poison him.
it shouldn't be no harm done
i dont know but my anole eats them but its a lizard
There really is no harm in a dog eating insects, unless of course the insect is dead and covered in insecticide. But healthy insects will cause no harm at all. This is one of my dogs favorite past times out in the yard. They "hunt" bugs and it grosses me out, but has yet to cause a problem.
No harm to the puppy, but I'm sure the crickets don't like it ;)
At first there might seem to be no problem, but dont let it happen again! Some dogs can have sensitive stomachs, like puppies and will vomit or have mushy poop.
No harm.. some people eat crickets..
No harm, I think crikets are a fine source of nutrition for dogs.
No harm, it's all protein.. my puppy eats ants and anything else he finds crawling outside. He hasn't gotten sick, and it looks like he's having fun hunting.
No problem as long as their is no inscecticide on them and those are usualy dead. It is a great play time for puppies and allows them to use their hunting insinct with out destroying your things.
My dog does the same thing he loves to chase them! It shouldn't really hurt him, but like someone else said some dogs have sensitive stomaches just watch him close if anything unusual happens then talk to your vet, or try not to let him eat any more crickets!
If your puppy eats an excessive amount, then the exoskeletons could cause constipation or maybe even obstruction. But your puppy would have to eat a truly obscene amount for that to even be a possibility (we're talking at least an entire tank or two like the ones pet stores keep live crickets in). I'm pretty sure that it would be literally impossible for your puppy to eat that many crickets outside of a store that sells a LOT of live crickets. Even if your puppy were inside such a store it's highly unlikely and unprobable (although probably not entirely impossible). If your puppy is just eating the occasional cricket s/he finds in the yard then there's no harm at all. After 4 years working full time and another 3 years working part time at a vet clinic I have yet to hear of a single dog coming in because they ate a few crickets.
