get it anyway. it will be so cute she will fall in love. i did that with my dog. mom said no way, everyone else in the family wanted him and he was so cute that she gave in, now he is her joy of life and she wouldnt trade him for anything
ask her things that you can do for her to get the dog.

Grow up, kid. Just because you want something doesn't mean you get it.
Maybe your mom knows you are not ready for the responsibility of pet ownership.
If you live with your parents, and they say no; you have to abide by their rules. I'd suggest you start saving up your money now, so that when you move out on your own, you can see about adopting one (preferably from your local shelter or breed rescue).
maybe you should make a presentation to her. then it would be hard to say no. and tell her not to talk while your presenting.

Ask her whether she consider a yorky if you adopt an adult from a rescue shelter, or whether she will consider another adult breed as Yorkies have long coats require alot of grooming, daily.

Do you have the time and patience to train a puppy?
You have to have both parents decision. Your mum might be right that a Yorkie may not be suitable for your lifestyle. You need to choose a dog that fits in with your lifestyle. Not because of there beauty! Also there are other dogs there that are beautiful and don't require as much work.

Explain to your mom that you can handle it. If you already have pets start helping out with them. Get a virtual pet. You can get them at Walmart, Target, or on Ebay. Make a deal. A good site to look for pets at is www.petfinder.com. They have some pretty sad stories about puppies. Maybe your mom will take pitty on a yorkie and buy it.
