Question:Hello, I would like to train my black lab for field and show. I have ordered several books regarding this issure, most of which are on back order. I have been working with her on fetching which she is EXCELLENT at. Can anyone give me some ideas on what I should be doing with her, until my books get her. I will be using this dog to breed! Don't train anything yet.
Get rulebooks for the clubs you will be showing in. The points are in the tiny details.
If you train it sloppy the first time, you will be regretting it!
Training sit, down and stand for obedience (vs. pet) is entirely different.
Wait til you get you books and rulebooks.
