please help quickly. 11 week old Maltese?

Question:fine one day then dangerously low blood sugar the next. won't eat. hospitalized twice, near death once. please hurry, I'm afraid to leave her alone. I can give her water w/kyro syrup one day and the next day she won't eat or drink. I have been told to mix baby food rice cereal with soft dogfood, she won't eat it.

Answers:
Your vet should really be guiding you in this. If you can't stabilize her blood sugar at home, she may need to be hospitalized until they can at the vet.

And you should be letting the breeder know what is going on. A reputable breeder, which hopefully you used, may be able to offer help or take the dog back and care for it.

Other Answers:
Sounds like hypoglycemia. You need to go to a vet. and if you have gone, and they didn't help, go to another one fast.

Eek maybe some of the nutrision drinks that pedialight makes for kids(theone that looks like milk).
You need to take her back to the vet for guidance. If your vet isn't helping you, you need to find another one. Did your dog come from a breeder? If so, they will be able to help you if they are reputable.
try a/d pet food from science diet (hill's) get from your vet..try nutri-cal, also from vet, or similar version from pet store..try boiling some water and adding sugar, let cool, syringe it to her, a small amount 2Tbsp.
always check to see if gums are pink, if they are white and tacky call vet. (don't always jugde this after she wakes, will be pale after vomitting too, but contact if that occurs anyway)
You need your vets help with this. If your vet isn't helping, find another one.
Good luck, poor baby
These are the types of questions that upset me. None of us are Vets. Just because we love dogs and have had experiences with various illnesses doesn't mean you should ask us this serious of a question.

A Maltese is so small it doesn't take much for them to die. Mine only weighs 5 pounds and he is 5 months old.
Call your vet and get that pup back in to see him/her now. The pup could die overnight. She might need an IV to hydrade her if she is that bad.

What was the vet's diagnosis? Weren't you told what to watch for and when to call for help..??
Hypoglycemia is quite common in the small breed dogs.
Get some Nutri-Cal or Nutri-Stat.

Normally a young pup with hypo will outgrow it, but it's important to keep her sugar up while she's going through this.

Make sure that you FREE FEED a hypo puppy.
This means keep food out for her at ALL TIMES, and water too.
