Old Roy is not only a poor quality dog food, but there has recently been a recall at Walmart stores for a particular flavor of their food due to the cans separating on the inside or something like that. I wouldn't continue to feed my dog that food, even if you're just mixing it in to try to change the dog over to a new food. Do a search and find out which flavor it was that was recalled - maybe that's why your dog got sick? I just did a quick search using "Old Roy dog food" and read nothing but negative feedback on it. Choose a high quality dog food that is human grade for your dog - you'll save money in the long run with vet bills.

Dry food is best for digestion as well as dental in dogs. The dry food helps to break up the build up as well as prevents it better than soft food. If your dog really likes the wet food try giving them half and half and see if that eases the digestive issues.
If you're feeding your pup a high-quality, puppy-formulated food, it shouldn't matter whether it's dry or soft. I've never heard of the brand Old Roy, so I have no idea if it's a good brand. I recommend Eukanuba, Iams, and Science Diet.
Are you feeding her any leftovers? Human scraps are generally not good for dogs and even worse for puppies. Dogs have difficulty digesting human food. (However, veggies are good.)

Yes, Old Roy WILL cause loose stools in your dog. Actually, it is a very poor quality dog food. Your pup's health ill be much better, for all of her life, if you feed a really good kibble. this isn't an area that should be skimped on, but diet is everything...Just as in humans.
Old Roy is a cheaply made brand. It is the cheapest out there to purchase. If you want your dogs fecal matter to be firm and less frequent then feed it better stuff. Old Roy is bad for them.
Old Roy isn't a good dog food. This could be causing the diarrhea, or it could be from a drastic change in diet (going from one brand/type of food straight to another without mixing). Sart feeding your puppy a quality puppy food like Nutro or Innova, following the directions on the back of the bag for switching from one food to another. If you can't find Nutro or Innova at your local pet store, just read the back of the bag of different dog foods. Meat or Meat meal should be the first ingredient. Corn should NEVER be in the food unless it says "corn gluten meal". You don't want any animal "by-products" in the food. If you have a large breed puppy, buy large breed puppy food. It helps them grow slower, preventing excess stress on the joints and muscles of the puppy and helping keep their bones and joints healthy.
Diarrhea is caused by lots of things. See vet again if it does not stop. Old Roy is crap food. You might as well feed your puppy shoe leather and dirt. That food is cheap b/c it has no real nutritional value. Spend a little more and at least buy Purina Puppy Chow as a bare minimun.
your vet should have told you that canned food is not really that good to feed a dog of any age for a lot of reasons and one is yes it causes diarrhea,promotes tooth decay,is not nutritious and usually the dog doesn't even digest it.dry food only is always best unless you can boil chicken breasts for the dog that would be better.
You should have the puppy's stool checked for parasites including giardia. I would avoid Ol'Roy as it is a very poor quality food. I recommend all natural foods such as Nutro or Natural Balance. Unfortunately puppies' intestines live by the motto - you get out what you put in.... Beneful is also a pretty low quality food - they do great advertising however!
