Question:My female was bald when I got her and she hatched out 1 baby it did have feathers on her head but it is bald now just like its mother.

sounds like you either have a lutino or an albino. The lutino bald spot is the result of inbreeding from many years ago to acheive that mutation. Some have it bad while many breeders have worked hard and almost gotten rid of the bald spot. The bald spot gets worse with each generation. If you have a bird that has a bad bald spot you should never breed it. Breeders have worked so hard to eliminate this problem. You may only be breeding them for a pet. What happens is that eventually someone will take this pet and breed it, sell their offspring which will also be bred, and then we are back where we started with the lutinos and the bald spot. We have to preserve our birds. stepping off my soapbox now lol sorry for the long post :)
Also, if your bird is not lutino, it is possible that dad is plucking their heads :)
Sounds like "Beak and Feather disease" Call the vet and see if there's a cure yet. My mother had a Cockatoo that died from it and the vet told her he couldn't do anything except give him shots under his wing and he died anyway.I hope that's not it!!
Is it a lutino? They genetically often have a bald patch on top of their heads.
Did you know that when you breed two lutinos (albinos) together their baby's go bald? That might be it. And if you know the parents, see if they were bald or if they are both lutinos.
