Question:can I feed my lovebirds cucombers or tomatoes?
Answers:
You can try but I've never found either of those things to be high on my birds' list of favorite foods. Try instead some apple slices (REMOVE SEEDS!), broccoli pieces, carrots with the tops still on if you can find them at the store.
I find that my Australian species prefer apples and grapes (green or red without the seeds), and my South American species tend to go for the citrus fruits like oranges. Almost all of my birds appreciate either fresh spinach, kale or other dark green leafy veggies. Regular "head lettuce" has very little nutritional value.
Another favorite of all my birds (cockatoos to finches) is COOKED rice (brown or white) with mixed chopped veggies mixed in. Also, you can hardboil regular eggs and chop them up (like for egg salad) and feed that as well - you can even leave in and chop up the shell as it will serve to add a bit of calcium to their diet.
Yes you can feed them cucumbers and tomatoes.
If they'll eat it! Human food for birds is actually much more nutritious for them-no avocados or chocolate!
Yes, you can. The only foods you should not give birds are avocados, chocolate, anything with caffeine, and anything high in fat or salt or sugar.
Yeah, it'd be good for them actually.
remember birds are originaly wild so they ate whatever they could find. so yes u can. its actualy realy good for them to be eating stuff besides seeds. try frozen corn and obviously defreeze it. corn is VERY good for birds and is very healthy!
