Budgie question - Siblings?

Question:What are the chances of these two budgies being siblings?
I got them from the same breeder.
Just wanting to know out of curiosity.

If you got them from the same breeder and they are the same age and such, then there is quite a possiblity that they are siblings.

When I went to a bird sale recently where there were many breeders, they had cages full of birds that could have easily been closely related. Signs on certain cages would specifically say that the birds were unrelated. Cages that didn't have those signs, you just had to assume they are possibly related.

The only way to know for certain would be to ask the breeder himself/herself, or buy another budgie from a different breeder (buying from different petshops in the same town means you could still end up with siblings! D: ).

It's unlikely, but if you are planning to breed the two birds (one is male and the other is female, from what I can tell in the pictures) you should return one and buy another from another breeder, to avoid any inbreeding.
