What to do with bird who broke his leg?

Question:

Answers:
A bird with a broken leg needs medical attention that you are not qualified to give. If it is a pet, take it to an avian veterinarian (one who specializes in birds).

If it is a wild bird, contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You can find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.

These people have the training and the resources to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. They also have the necessary permits.

Most will treat the animal for no fee, and some (though not many) will also arrange to get the bird from you if you have absolutely no way to get it to them.

Take him to the vet, if it's a pet bird it's easy to fix, if it's a wild bird it's still easy to fix but you'll need to put a lot more effort into it as you wont be able to just let it go out into the wild once it's fixed, you'll need to keep him as a pet from now on.
