Parrotlets are GREAT. They will eat anything you offer them. they eat soo much it's not even funny. So this means easily giving your bird pellets,fruits, veggies,egg food and other healthy foods without any protest from your bird. Parakeet or Cockatiel size food will suit your parrotlet.They are playful and love climbing and wood toys. Remember,dont feed plums,beef,caffiene,avacado, or acholhol. A little chicken is fine for protien. Remember.Seeds should NOT be a prime diet. Only give treats as snacks. Good pellet brands include Zupreem, Harrison's Bird Food, Kaytee Exact, and Lafebers pellets. I think the very best is Harrison's organic bird food..although the food is kind of expensive. So Zupreem would be the next best choice(get the natural kind not vthe fruit kind.
A good bird website that you can find breeders,rescues, info,care sheets, species profiles ect is BirdChannel.com.Go to bird Species and click either G for Green Rumped Parrotlet or P for Pacific Parrotlets ot Parrotlets in general.
