Hi and no love birds are dominate of there treeitory and will end up picking on different breed . sooner ot later.
No it is not good to mix the two breeds together. The Lovebirds, can become very aggressive and the Canary is a more gentle bird. I raised birds for many years, and I would strongly advice against it. The Lovebirds are very messy. They shred everything they can get their beaks on, while the Canary is clean and delicate. No! Lovebirds can never be housed with any other bird. They are extremely aggressive and have been known to kill even large birds like macaws! (I almost ended up with a dead conure this way!) Just get two cages to keep them safe.
ok whoa whoa whoa and double whoa. CANARIES and LOVEBIRDS? Softbills and Hookbills? ok not good. I wouild be less suprised if you mixed the canary with a finch since they are both sofbills. Lovebirds are parrots. The least you can do is mix it with another parrot or better yet a lovebird.
