My Cockatiel is acting weird!?

Question:Ok, so 30 minutes ago my cockatiel was perfectly fine as far as i know, sitting on the top perch and looking in the mirror as normal. then i leave to get some oatmeal because i was hungry and i come back, close my door nice and normal, and suddenly my bird i dont know if he jumped down from the top perch or if he had fallen to the bottom somehow, but he started jumping around and around and around and around the bottom of the cage, i tried to stop him but he wouldn't, i sat there and talked to him and he stoped after a little bit but his right wing was bleading a little bit. but it is acting really weird, it is staying in one place, not moving, looks like it is struggling to keep his eyes open or just keeping them open half way and it is letting me pet it in places it never would let me before, it wont step up on my finger unless i like pick up one foot put it on a finger, and pick up another foot and put it on finger and then it looks like it had trouble keeping it's balance HELP PL

How is your bird doing now? A healthy bird just does not go down to the floor of the cage and start running in circles and looking like it is sick. How far is your Bird's cage from the kitchen? Did you cook anything beside Oatmeal, if you did were cooking on a teflon pan? Teflon toxins can drop a healthy bird dead in about 30 minutes.
As for the bleeding from the wing, my bet that was from a blood feather. Blood feathers is ruptured can cause a bird to bleed to death if not treated quickly. A loss of too much blood can cause shock to the bird, and shock can kill faster then the injury.

Your welcome to contact me if you need more help with your bird.

If you have an emergency care vet you should definatly call them and ask for some assitance.
It sounds like it had a seizure! Here is a link that will help you out:

It lost its moter skills and fell off... that was the key. I hope he's okay.
Call you vet!!
Sometimes they just do dat, cockatiels are a crazy bird! dats the trute! He was "day" sleeping and you woke him up, it will be alright.
he may of lost some blood and is feelin a little woozy since you said that his wing was bleeding a bit, he may of caught it on something.. But im no bird expert.. call a vet and explain your problems to them.
If there is blood, just call a 24 hr vet service.

If in doubt, check it out.
You should take it to the vet in the morning. Find a good avian vet. If it is letting you touch it all over and wouldn't before something is wrong. It could have broken a wing or blood feather, or it could be internal. So just be very careful. Keep it warm if you can, but not hot, with a lamp, heating pad. Keep it hydrated with plain water. The bad thing about a sick bird is they don't show illness until it is very late. I wish you the best of luck.
that happened to my cockatiel, it did that for like 3 hours and died so it's probably gonna die it 's just weak if it's head is down it's definetly gonna die, if you have time take it to the vet IF it's still living tommorow. I hope you the best and I hope your bird will be fine, and if it dies atleast it died peacfully and incase it dies have a box to dig it in, a pair of gloves, and a shovel. but don't touch it because maybe it got sick because of a disease or something. then take it outside to dig it up.
if you are unsure of anything i would call a vet soon, preferably an avian vet.
this is sad, so sorry. I think your cockatiel is too weak and is about to die. The best you can do is let your cockatiel rest. This had happended to one of my bird and she die around 20mins later when she's struggling.

Hope your cockatiel will be find, if he is take him to a vet and check on him.
Oh stop saying "HELP" in capital letters as if you were screaming. If it's that urgent, why aren't you already in the car taking him to the vet?! Why are you wasting valuable time asking unqualified strangers on the internet, who have never even seen your bird let alone examined him, for free medical advice? You know damn well you should take him to the vet. It is his RIGHT BY LAW to receive proper medical care and to deny it is abuse. You do realize that if he's had a stroke or seizure that the more time you waste the less his chances for a full recovery?

And don't you dare start whining that you "can't afford to take him to the vet." That is part of responsible pet ownership and if you can't afford to properly care for him then you have no right to have a pet. Grow up.

Call your vet now. If your regular vet can't or won't get him in to the vet, then call the emergency vet. And be sure to describe the same symptoms to them over the phone as you did taking the time talking to strangers. The vet needs to know that your bird should be seen right away. This is no time to "wait and see." This is not normal.
I have two cockails m&m and cin thay mostly act weid when thay see me with food .so i share it with them.
lol, okay frances s, I don't think his bird was bleeding because he has some oatmeal. sike. you defenitley need to get that bird to an avian vet
