What form of governance does McCain's suggestion for the US elected representatives to buy up desperate mortgages represent?

Normally I would vote socialism but in this case, it be in big part the culpability of the government that this is happening to these race plus it is bringing down the price of homes and destroying neighborhoods even in my little town. This would let the open market price of homes be established so that banks could start lending again and the policy would recoup the money. I'm not saying that I completely agree near that plan but if things don't straighten out soon, we'll all be in the dismissal line.
Unfortunately it represents hot nouns, he has not really articulated a real plan on this. The belief is a good, solid idea but terribly hasn't made a case for it and it looks like an see year gimmick. The idea of assisting mortages is more fair that flushing the money down the bank who misrepresented the debt they were selling. He also said this would preserve home prices which means buying the mortages at facade value and this harm the housing bazaar by creating a government subsidized bubble that doesn't reflect actual value and becomes a money pit for excise dollars. This flaw just makes the plan look not outstandingly well thought out.
Potentially this idea could enjoy been an Obama beater but it never got ample attention from McCain to be a credible alternative.
